Sensors that are vulnerable to immersion must remove moisture and dust through periodic opening and cleaning, and care must be taken for operation or maintenance before and after observation. Let’s take a look at the most basic O-ring management tips to prevent sensor flooding.
If you look at all the sensors that are waterproof underwater, there is O-ring. First time buyers of marine observing sensors may not have any experience in O-ring management, making mistakes or knowing wrong information.
Q1. Information about O-ring?
O-ring is the most basic seal, which is assembled in the groove, and comes into contact with the sliding surface by pressing with the sliding surface. The reason for applying grease to O-ring is to prevent corrosion of O-ring.
Q2. How to apply O-ring grease?

Q3. Precautions for O-ring grease application
It is a bad practice to insert and remove O-rings and connectors to apply O-ring grease daily. Also, if you apply a lot of grease, water may get into the cracks of the grease or be flooded in reverse due to dust or impurities on the grease. When applying grease, it is best to apply few amount of grease slightly.
